What Matters Most : The Power of Living Your Values

Author: Hyrum W. Smith

Sonya’s Review:  Ok, so this book was one of those that I was told about but had never actually got around to reading!!! Once I read it, I text the person who recommended it to me and said ‘I can’t believe I waited this long to read this!!!’

My 2019 was a year of struggle and this book (and the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People) really put me on track.  I really believe that a lot of us struggle as we have no direction.  Depression is about looking back at our life and having regrets.  What would it look like for us if we looked at our future and were working on a daily basis to actually have the life we want?

I know we live in a world of instant gratification, but sometimes it takes a bit of work and a bit of determination and time to change things.  The first step is looking at our Values, our Mission and what we really want our life to look like.

This book is a MUST read type of book 🙂

Publisher’s Summary

In an age of unprecedented prosperity and opportunity, there are still many who feel that something is missing in their lives: “I’ve achieved success and am on the fast track in my career, I’m respected by my peers, I have a great family and all the toys and perks that I could possibly want. Why don’t I feel a stronger sense of fulfillment, or any real happiness inside? Why does life feel so empty?” In What Matters Most, best-selling author and speaker Hyrum W. Smith outlines compelling reasons for this dissatisfaction.
